# FiveMesh Agent

> Use the dashboard Agent to inspect your services and prepare changes with explicit confirmation.

FiveMesh Agent helps you inspect workspace state, usage, services, plans and documentation from the dashboard. It follows your account permissions and the organization context you are working in.

## Access preferences

Open your account menu, choose **Profile**, then open **Agent**.

| Preference | Behavior |
| - | - |
| **Read-only Agent access** | On by default. Allows the Agent to inspect supported FiveMesh information. |
| **Allow Agent executions** | Off by default. Allows it to prepare supported service changes for your approval. |

Read access must be enabled before executions can be enabled. Turning off read access also turns off executions.

## Ask for help

Open **Agent** in the dashboard sidebar and describe the service or issue you want to investigate. Include the server name when your question involves Cache, Voice or Logs.

You can ask it to explain usage, inspect a service's state or find the relevant setup instructions. Review its answer against the dashboard when deciding what to change.

## Approve a service change

With executions enabled, the Agent can prepare supported operations such as creating, updating, purging, restarting, disabling or deleting a service. Availability depends on the service and your permissions.

Every execution pauses for explicit confirmation. Review the named target, proposed operation and consequences in the confirmation before approving. A request to inspect a service does not itself authorize a prepared change.

<Warning>
  Purging cached content and deleting a service have different consequences.
  Read each confirmation carefully and copy any required configuration or
  data before approving a destructive action.
</Warning>

Organization members can only prepare operations their role and service access permit. Agent preferences do not grant additional permissions.
